My name is Senator Eidson. I am a graduate from Texas A&M. I have a P.H.D. in Child therapy and a Bachelors degree in psychology. I am an independent party, but lately I have been siding with the Republican senators over the issues at hand. I am married with two children Jace and Harley. Even though i am a senator i make the concious effort to be a large part in my children's lives. member of the parent teachers league. running them to and from school band practice and cheerleading practice. I even have both of them volunteer along with me and my husband in battered women's shelters, children hospital, and child shelter. I represent the state of Kentucky even though I was born and raised in Spring, Texas. I moved to Kentucky to run for senator when I heard Kentucky had the highest death rate caused by child abuse in the country. I could have been one of the many victims to die either by my own hand or by the hands of those who put me through such torment. I personally am a woman who from the time i was seven years old up until i was twelve years old was a victim of physical, verbal, emotional, and sexual abuse. My mother was addicted to drugs and would invite her "friends" to smoke, drink, and "shoot up" on a regular basis. They would all put their cigarettes out on my chest and take turns saying im stupid or no one cares about me. My mother would "trade" me for drugs from her friends to do what ever they wanted. I was first raped when i was eight years old. I was saved and taken from my mother when i was twelve years old. I suffered from continuous moments of depression, suicidal thoughts, and my own strand of addictions until i was seventeen. I now suffer and am still on medication for my post straumatic stress disorder. Since then i vowed to myself to do everything in my power to save children who are going through any kind of torment and to provide the help and needs similar to what i had to those children who have been through such torment. I serve as an advocate for all children. I want to fight for the proper funds and solutions needed for the treatment of those who have been through child abuse, the complete abolishment of child abuse, and change the way the hearings are run so the ways the court determines what is child abuse and what is not shall be changed in favor of the children.

Sec 4.
TERMS AND BENEFITS:

1.) Increase awareness on child sexual abuse, child physical abuse, child emotional abuse through public websites and informative sources.
Benefits-
I feel if we raise awareness through easily accessed public websites and other informative sources we would be able to rally communities to become involved in any of their local interest groups. If not become a member of one, possibly be cautious of signs of possible abuse around them. Using these websites and sources we would also be able to release a secure anonymous hotline to those who witness a child being abused. We would be able to provide them useful information such as 1 out of 10 children are sexually abused during childhood, signs of a child being physically, sexually, verbally, and emotionally abused, and ways to possibly provide help for the children that they interact with on a day to day basis who are going through such horrors.
2.) Impliment new credentials in courts of state and national level that factor into whether or not a case is concidered an act of abuse.
Benefits-
I know that there have been cases in state and federal courts where a suspect of abusing a child was in fact convicted. However, I am very familiar with cases where the men and women accused of abusing a child are not convicted. Why is this so? Well, it is because the distinctions between cases of abuse and normal disciplinary punishment vary in court depending on state. I would like to propose a guideline of distinctions for the court to use in order to determine the outcome of a case and perhaps save a child. By doing this we could not only save a child but lower the death rate caused by child abuse specifically. I feel there is nothing wrong with the justice system, but it would be in the best interest of all to have a distinct list of guidelines the court can refer to when dealing with such cases.
4.) Provide the medical, mental, and physical assistance for a child who's suffered abuse meeting their needs to obtain the mental, emotional, and physical treatment they require.
Benefits-
Once a child is saved (if they ever are) they must deal with either physical, mental, or emotional disabilities that come as an after effect. Even if the child only has to experience such a brutal experience for a week or less; that small amount of time leaves an invisible scar that could possibly never be fully healed. The only way we can assist these children is by providing them with the necessities they require. This includes prescriptions for any disorders they now face (post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, etc), possible counseling or psychiatric assistance from a psychologist, and any form of attention for mental or emotional disorders that is needed. The children who show physical disabilities, severe injuries, obvious discomfort and expressions of pain will receive immediate medical attention prior to the court hearing.
5.) Fund programs for both child and parent rehabilitation through counseling
I also propose that we provide counseling for the child and parent(s) through a rehabilitation clinic that will be designed strictly for such purposes.

Its never too late for you to save a child... even songs by famous artists such as this band try to educate the world on child abuse and even the effects it has on a child later on in life

When a child is abused...there are many effects that follow.
such as them lashing out against their parents....

Would YOU want this to happen to your children? It does not have to be you to be the one to abuse your child. It could be anyone who has contact with your children. We have a chance to save those children out there being brutally tortured as we speak. We can save a life. We have a chance and a choice...question is...will you listen to the screams crying out for mercy? Or will you turn your back on helpless children facing horrors that most people cannot even begin to imagine? You hold these children's lives in YOUR hands..What will you do?
